The Inn is named for the area's light cinnamon-colored bears that are frequently blonde in color when they first emerge from hibernation. Amber Bear Hollow has a petting zoo of horses, llamas, goats, chickens and other animals is a subtle reminder that the grounds were a ranching homestead for close to 100 years. Water from Brewer's Creek sparkles down the mountainside and was one of the ingredients used in a large bootlegging operation in earlier decades. The Inn is newly constructed, air-conditioned and built with seven fireplaces. A large, wrap-around porch, a casual atmosphere, and hearty country cooking transport you back to a time before calories and cholesterol. Those searching for the amenities of today, and the charm of the farming past, may find it at the new Amber Bear Hollow. A full breakfast is included in the rates. Each bedroom has a magnificent view and a private bathroom.
