Description: The Sleepy Senator B&b |
The Sleepy Senator is an 1800 sq. foot late 19th century two-story townhouse that has been updated and decorated as a private luxury suite in an authentic early 20th Century theme. Enjoy quiet and privacy except during daily mealtime and periods of light housekeeping. Sleep soundly without interstate highway noises, banging doors, muffled conversations through the walls, or cars starting up underneath your window before dawn. Entertain business clients, family, or friends in the downstairs parlor, formal dining room, and kitchen areas; combined, these rooms contain more space than the lobbies found in most local downtown chain hotels. Additional food and supplies are conveniently available at the local Safeway Supermarket only a few blocks away. During warmer months the fenced backyard of the Sleepy Senator is an ideal place to host a small group meeting or social event, such as a barbeque. Guests at the Sleepy Senator have access to a business office center with computer, scanner, fax, Internet e-mail access, and computer disk writing capabilities. The office contains a vanity sink. Early morning coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and pastries can be served in the office while guests check their business e-mail. A modest full hot breakfast is provided. This can be prepared to order. The Sleepy Senator is the only establishment in Helena that is able to properly prepare poached eggs on toast with Hollandase, but country-style meals with ample portions are more the usual dining. Guests may also request additional meals, served family style, for a slight extra fee. Meals are prepared to meet most any special dietary requirements, or guests may use the kitchen to prepare personal meals and snacks.
All rooms include pillow top mattresses, goose down quilts, down throws and flannel sheets, local telephone line with wireless handset, telephone message recorder, local cable TV with VCR/DVD player, hotel robes and slippers, fluffy towels and convenience lotions and soaps.
